Cataloguing Archives

Accessing and understanding information contained in archives can often be bewildering and off-putting. NORAH knows the importance of cataloguing and indexing so that everyone has a clear understanding of what has survived, its context and how the information it contains can be used in research. NORAH also realises how cataloguing collections underpins other activities which help people engage with Norfolk’s archive, such as translating and transcribing documents into modern English, or digitisation so Norfolk’s archives can be used anywhere in the world.
